The interwar period is the period between world war 1 and world war 2. In the interwar period Germany suffered A LOT because they got the blame for the war, so they had to give a lot of money to the winners. They did not have food and money. The leaders decided to make a lot of money and just make and make and make, but it did not help since they didn’t have food so you could have millions of German marks just to get one bread. Meanwhile France had lost 10 percent of the population and had a little more than a million injured, but they got a lot of money to fix what was destroyed. France was completely destroyed, villages torn apart everywhere. When they signed the Versailles treaty some people said that this contract was so bad the peace would not last more than 20 years and they were right because 20 years later world war 2 began.
